Preview of the SABR36 Convention Hotel

20th May 2006

Sat: 10:35 AM (PST)

The experiment is in motion.

Seattle is a partly cloudy affair today. Here we sit at the site of lobby of the Madison Renaissance Hotel, home of SABR 36 starting on Weds. June 28th.

Over the course of the day, I’ll be posting images and comments about the hotel to try and give those going to the convention some idea of what to expect.

First order of business… It’s 10:30am, and the bar isn’t open. I’m sure that some will be concerned with this matter.

Check the comments in this thread over the course of the day for updates

Here are some images from the hotel. The views from the upstairs restaurant are really something… view of the Sound and Safeco Field.

Camera phone doesn’t do the view justice… Safeco Field highlighted in this shot from the restaurant.

For those interested in the rooms… since many will be roomimg with others, here’s what the “double” room looks like.
